Payment
Winning bidders must complete payment promptly using the payment link provided following the auction.
Please only purchase the item(s) you have successfully won. Purchasing items won by another bidder may result in your order being cancelled.
Orders that remain unpaid may be cancelled without notice and the item may be offered to another purchaser or relisted.
Repeated unpaid purchases or cancelled transactions may result in suspension or permanent removal from future auctions.
A shipping charge is automatically applied to each auction purchase during checkout as part of the website's automated checkout process.
Where multiple auction purchases are being shipped to the same delivery address, any additional shipping charges beyond the required shipping fee will normally be refunded automatically within a few minutes of purchase. If an automatic refund does not occur, please contact Opal Hub Australia and we will promptly resolve the issue.
Accepted payment methods are displayed during checkout.

To ensure your bids are recognised, you should participate through the official live auction. Only bids submitted through the designated official auction chat will be recognised unless otherwise stated by Opal Hub Australia.
Our platform is designed to minimise internet latency and provide an accurate bidding experience. However, delays may occasionally occur due to internet connections, platform performance or individual device issues.
In the event of delayed comments, duplicated chats or bidding discrepancies, the seller's bidding display and auction record will determine the successful bidder.
If a bidder believes an error has occurred, it should be raised during the live auction where reasonably possible.
Opal Hub Australia reserves the right to reopen bidding, withdraw an item or cancel a sale where necessary to ensure a fair outcome.

Product Information
Every effort is made to accurately represent each item through photographs, videos and descriptions.
As opal is a natural gemstone, colours and appearance may vary depending on lighting conditions, viewing angle and individual display settings.
Any questions regarding an item, including requests for additional views, different angles, torch demonstrations or clarification of the description, should be made prior to placing a bid. Once a bid has been placed, it is considered a binding offer to purchase.
All items are subject to availability and final confirmation by Opal Hub Australia.
Rough Opal
Rough opal and rubs may be photographed wet to better demonstrate the potential of the stone.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, no guarantees are given regarding the outcome, yield, pattern, colour or value after cutting.
Purchasers accept all risks associated with purchasing rough opal.
That ties it back to the binding bid rule and encourages bidders to ask for a torch, different angles or clarification before committing. I think it's stronger than saying "additional photos are available," because it covers live requests as well as any other questions.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping, insurance, returns and warranty information are governed by Opal Hub Australia's Shipping Policy and Returns Policy.
Shipping costs are calculated separately unless otherwise stated.
Pricing & Currency Adjustments
Customers located outside Australia may complete payment in their local currency where supported by the Opal Hub Australia website.
Prices displayed at checkout may include regional pricing adjustments to account for:
- Currency exchange fluctuations
- Payment processing costs
- Import duties and tariffs
- Taxes and government charges
- Regional operating costs
- Other market-specific expenses
Regional pricing may be updated periodically without prior notice.
The total amount displayed at checkout is the amount payable to Opal Hub Australia. No additional currency conversion or international payment fees are charged by Opal Hub Australia beyond the amount shown at checkout.
Australian customers should identify themselves following a successful bid so the correct Australian pricing, including GST where applicable, can be applied.
Unless collected during checkout, any import duties, VAT, customs charges, tariffs or other government fees imposed by the destination country remain the purchaser's responsibility.
