A teardrop shaped Lightning Ridge seam opal rub, 9ct, N3 black body tone.
Colour opens up across the face in pinfire, blue and green lifted bright against slight black webbing that sits absorbed into the background, peppered periodically through the stone, with flashes of red glow beneath.
This is a rub, showing its potential and awaiting the final polish to bring it out in full, with a small imperfection near the bottom easily taken in or covered depending on how the piece is used.
