A 1.95ct natural Lightning Ridge Black Opal measuring 9.82 × 6.65 × 5.01 mm.
This exceptional high dome gem carries an N2 Black Body Tone with B5 Vivid Brightness, delivering intense Rolling Flash and play of colour across a compact, elegant Black Opal.
In Lightning Ridge, significance is not measured by size alone. Some stones seem lit from within, carrying an intensity far beyond their physical size. As we say, they don’t have to be big in the Ridge, and this stone is a statement to that fact.
The predominant face displays vivid Gold, Golden Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue, with strong depth and movement throughout. Flagstone and Chaff patterning add further structure and complexity to the play of colour.
The stone is double sided, with the second domed face carrying flashes from the same colour palette and adding another dimension to the piece.
